Children cannot learn, and caregivers cannot lead when they are sick, hungry, or overwhelmed. Nyaka’s Health, Nutrition and Mental Wellbeing Program delivers school and community-based health services including clinical care, nutrition support, dental services, immunisation, HIV treatment and care, and mental health and psychosocial support. Since the clinics opened in 2015, they have delivered 14,380 medical consultations to 6,955 unique patients with zero maternal mortality and zero under-5 mortality recorded across all Nyaka-supported facilities throughout that period. Our approach is simple: when people are healthy enough to show up, they are healthy enough to thrive.

No child should be harmed, and no survivor should face the path to recovery alone. Nyaka’s SGBV & CSA Prevention and Response programme combines community-level prevention, survivor-centred case management, psychosocial support, and justice pathways for children, especially girls, women, and adolescents. Since 2015, the programme has supported 2,300 survivors and secured 857 perpetrator convictions. Equally as important, community attitudes have shifted: positive community attitudes toward SGBV prevention have risen from 64% at the 2021 baseline to 90% in 2025, a sign that lasting norm change is taking hold.
