Recent graduates find confidence and courage through special camping trip.
Like many students finishing their secondary education, the end of the term brings a mix of excitement and anxieties as they decide on next steps. Nyaka takes advantage this pivotal time in their lives to make sure they’re set up for success and can handle the challenges they will inevitably face.
Every year in July, Jackson and other Nyaka alumni host a special camping trip with graduating students. This special time is intended to provide a safe space for Nyaka students to have fun and talk about life outside Nyaka.
Jackson and other Nyaka alumni use this opportunity to give the graduates valuable life advice. Students are encouraged to ask questions about how to best cope at university and higher institutions of learning, how to navigate life in big cities, and other necessary life skills.
