TCS New York City Marathon - Virtual Marathon.
As you’re likely aware, the 2020 New York City Marathon scheduled for November has been cancelled. While we were looking forward to this historic event, we look forward to participating when it is safe for everyone to join in 2021. In the interim, the New York Road Runners (NYRR) are hosting virtual races so people from all around the world can still get out and run for fun and for a good cause! You can see the four options that NYRR has outlined here. It’s important to note that the registration opens Tuesday, July 28th at 12PM EST. Please contact us at communicationteam@nyakaglobal.org.
If you have any interest in running, you can choose one of these two options:
- You can participate in the “Run for the Medal” option for $60 where participants will receive a finisher medal and access to NYRR virtual training and a free 60-Day Strava Summit profile.
- You can participate in the “Run for the Love of Running” option. This option is entirely free and registrants receive a free 30-day strava summit profile.
If you are interested in either of these races, we ask that you use these opportunities to fundraise for Nyaka. We recognize how challenging these current times are so there is absolutely no fundraising requirement.
